100 years since the Russian Revolution

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the International Conference "100 years since the Russian Revolutions" to be held at the University of Granada, November 15-17, 2017. The Conference's main goals are to promote multidisciplinary research on this crucial period of modern history and to bring together researchers and scholars interested in the conference topics:

  3. Russian Revolution and the World: impact, relevance and reception 

  4. Russian Revolution and Spain: impact, relevance and reception 

  5. Way of Thinking, Schools of Thought and Ideas from the Russian Revolution

  6. Revolution and artistic expressions

  7. Revolution and/in Literature

  8. From USSR to Russia

  9. Memory and commemoration of the 1917

  10. Discourse and Language in/of Russian revolution 

  11. Religion, Thinking and Daily Life in the Russian revolution

  12. Revolution and counterrevolution

  13. Nationalities in the USSR 

  14. Revolutionaries? Leaders, Figures and Key People during the Russian Revolution

  15. Studying the Russian Revolution: reviews and new directions 

The official languages of the symposium are English, Russian and Spanish.

Plenary Speakers will be confirmed by the end of February. In addition to scheduled sessions, two round tables on “The Russian revolutions and Spain” and "The impact of Russian Revolution on China" are planned during the symposium.
